Joseph Geskey is an osteopathic physician who graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He currently provides primary care to an underserved population in Columbus, Ohio. In 2017, he was recognized by Columbus Business First as a Health Care Champion: Health Care Provider for the Underserved. He has an MBA from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an MS-PopH from Thomas Jefferson University. A native of Wilkes-Barre, PA, he graduated with a BS in Biology from King’s College. He has published numerous research articles and essays. His poetry has appeared in JAMA, Tar River Poetry, Poetry East, Roanoke Review, North Dakota Quarterly, Cloudbank, The Dodge, and Verse Daily, among many others, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. His first book of poetry, Alms for the Ravens, was published by Main Street Rag Publishing Company in 2024. His second book of poetry, Vigil, will be published by Broken Tribe Press in 2026. He resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife, Tara, and his daughter, Avery.
